At Honeybee childcare centre we believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring and stimulating atmosphere to grow and get matured emotionally, intellectually and socially. We believe the teacher should act as a guide, allowing the child's natural curiosity to direct his/her learning and promoting respect for all things and all people. The environment should be setup to include a rich variety of developed accessible materials that encourage and promote learning through play. Play is an important vehicle for children's development in all areas. We believe that children have right to be kid and be happy. Therefore, there must be a happy, fun and entertaining environment. All children should be treated equally and a child's social and cultural background should acknowledged and respected. Children learn through their play, interests and meaningful interactions with others.

We also believe partnerships are an integral part of a supportive environment. Effective partnerships between children, teachers, parents and other family members can assist in creating an environment that encourages communication and develops a shared focus. We believe that parent's partnership is the key ingredient to quality and success of our programs. We encourage and welcome parent's knowledge, experience, ideas and input into our programs. Each child's family knows their child's care professionals will work in partnership with families to ensure the best outcomes for children.

We believe that children are valuable gifts from God and are to be nurtured and cared for in the best possible manner. Each family unit varies, so we must be sensitive to an array of circumstances, such as the various formations of a family, a parent's style and beliefs of parenting; a child and families living situation. Administrators and colleagues personal philosophy will be respected.
